Trained as a journalist at Rhodes University then studied post-graduate film at Middlesex University in London. Malcolm is a writer/producer with over 30 years experience, his first writing credit being on Dr Who for the BBC. He wrote and co-produced The Fourth Reich directed by Manie Van Rensburg. While living in London he developed and produced nine international feature films with David Pupkewitz at Focus Films, including The 51st State. In 2014 he returned to SA to head up AFDA film school in Cape Town, before being promoted to head of production at AFDA’s post-graduate school until the end of 2017. Malcolm has also written a novel, Good Hope, published in 2014 and is currently developing a raft of film and small screen productions.

Michael is a Cape Town-based American feature-film and television producer with over 30 years of experience. His credits include District 9, Dredd 3D, Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure, A Nightmare on Elm Street: Freddie’s Revenge, From Dust Till Dawn II & III, and the TV series SAF3.  The hugely successful District 9 was nominated for a Best Picture Oscar at the 2010 Academy Awards; Dredd was the first 3D feature film shot in Africa; and SAF3 was the first international TV series that not only filmed in South Africa, it was the first one to complete all of its post production and international delivery work inside our borders. Michael is co-owner, with business partner Irfaan Fredericks of Kalahari Film and Media, a Cape Town based film company that has serviced and co-produced a number of film and TV projects in South Africa.

Josh is an award-winning Cape Town writer, director and producer. He graduated Cum Laude in 2015 with a National Diploma in Film and Video Technology from Cape Peninsula University of Technology. Josh was recipient of the prestigious Dean’s Medal from the Faculty of Informatics & Design. In 2016 Josh wrote and directed the short film, Life Estate, for the 48 Hour Film Festival, which was acknowledged with a trophy for story. In 2017 Josh produced the short film, Versnel, for Kalahari Film and Media, which won the Best Short Film Award at the Silverskerm Film Festival. He has worked at Kalahari Film & Media developing projects since 2015 and is a staff lecturer and the manager of the DOCi Emerging Filmmakers Programme.

Monde is an experienced Film Producer with a diverse history of working in the media production industry.   She is a strong creative film-making professional with an Advanced Diploma focused in Film Production from City Varsity School of Media and Creative Arts.

She was part of the digital production team for the Centre of Innovation in Learning and Teaching at University of Cape Town and one of the first Video Producers that created of Africa's first MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses). She is currently working at benchfilms as a production coordinator and at the DOCi Emerging Filmmakers Programme as a staff lecturer and mentor.   She is skilled in Video Production, Documentary Film Making, Video Editing, Music Videos and Short Films.
